Summer Semi-Private Lessons for Adults and Teen at Windrush

T_awards35 Beginning June 22nd, Windrush Farm is offering semi – private lessons every *weekday morning from 8:00am - 9:00am for independent beginners through experienced riders.

Lessons need to be booked and paid for one week prior to the lesson. The cost is $65.00/lesson. Lessons will be on a “pay –as-you-ride”, but you may take as many as you like.

Except for beginner riders (who will be taught to groom and tack as part of their lesson) all riders will groom, tack and have their horse in the riding arena at 8:00 am. If you are new to riding, we will try to match you up with another rider with similar riding goals.

Or, you can think creatively! What about grabbing a friend, sister, grandfather, mother, co-worker, daughter, … for a morning of fun trying something new together???

If you are an experienced rider, consider pairing up with a riding friend or we will match you up with a rider with similar skills and goals. *There will be one or two “black-out” weeks.

Pony for Adoption

100_3239 New England Equine Rescues has an adorable hackney pony available for adoption (or foster with 1st rights to adopt). He is about 12.2h, 11 - 12 years old. UTD on everything including teeth float. Has probably driven but we do not have a cart / harness to try him. He is curious and friendly. stands for grooming and lifts his feet readily for cleaning. We would not place him with a beginner but a confident quiet child with horse knowledge will have a blast with him. He takes a rider without issue, very forward / quick but listens to requests. w-t- have not evaluated canter yet... This cutie pie just needs some mileage and polish. He can be seen in Groveland Ma

100_3240 Email martinmaryd@comcast.net for an appointment to see him. www.newenglandequinerescues.com

On-Farm ½ Lease Available

On-Farm ½ Lease Available

$150.00 per month / Kensington, NH

Looking for an experienced adult or young adult to ½ lease Dales pony. Someone who is interested in dressage to improve suppleness and performance would be ideal. Some natural horsemanship skills preferred. I have two ponies to lease out.

Ponies have evented at novice and training level. They have participated in trail rides at GMHA (non-competitive). If you are looking to do some eventing, trail riding, or hunter paces, these are the ponies for you!

Both ponies have excellent ground manners and love attention. Forward gaits w/ ground covering trot. They are very willing over fences. Ridden in a snaffle. These ponies have lots of personality and are really fun to ride.

Farm has a round pen, and miles of beautiful trails. Outdoor dressage ring available nearby. For more information please contact Amy C. Barton at 978-621-2633 or abarton@ehr.org

Horses Need Homes

"Trial Run" Vixson 13 yo 16.1h TB bay mare has evented up to Training with a couple of different people Paige Laughlin started her training, snaffle mouth all 3 phases, she is tricky to ride, but has a great jump and has always scored in the low 30's dressage, she is quiet at shows, spooky on trails.

"Linwin" 12yo 15.3h TB mare bay I evented her BN 2X in Aiken this year, she was very game and well behaved at shows. Bomb proof trail horse. She is green, but with time and experience will be a great lower level event horse.

"Secret" homebred CH TB mare well bred, 16h 8ish yo, green, sorry I don't know much about her, she has little jumping experience, she was the bottom of the list of horses to ride.

"Lickety Split" 15.2h CH Loyal Pal, TB mare, would make a great lesson horse, training level dressage, has XC schooled, but doesn't like to be alone, cute jumper at 2'6" quiet on trails when with company, spooky when alone, jumps very well in hackamore.

"Epic Finalie" 15.2h Bay TB g Epic Win, fancy mover scored in high 60's and 70's at training level and 1st level dressage could definatly go 2nd, very big mover for a little horse, very cute jumper! has schooled XC, great on trails alone or in company.
