What a novel idea!

When Felicity Beech saw the latest video about the Amesbury schools' program at Windrush she was impressed. So she sent the link to some of her non horsey friends in the Amesbury - Newburyport area. "Nothing like a bit of consciousness-raising" she says.
Some of her friends also meet each month "on the pretext of reading a book; although the book club's primary purpose is socializing and eating!" In January it was Felicity's turn to host the club and as the date neared members emailed to ask what they might bring. Her response was that they need not bring food but, instead, would they give contributions for Windrush?
On the night seven people donated a total of $135 to the cause. That is enough to cover the costs of one lesson for one disabled rider. "It's a similar concept to the holiday cocktail party fundraiser." said Felicity "It's just on a smaller scale, but every little helps and it gets the word out too."
